Susan LeBron headshot“It’s not always what we’re saying. Most of the time it’s what we’re not saying that needs to be shared.” ~Susan LeBron

Susan LeBron is a mom of six, a military wife and the author of the newly released book, No Fig Leaves Allowed: Getting Emotionally Naked. After healing her own relationships, Susan is on a mission to help others strengthen and protect their relationships. She teaches couples how to recognize intimacy barriers that often prevent them from being completely honest with each other. Susan wrote No Fig Leaves Allowed so couples would know how to create a safe haven in which they remove intimacy barriers so they could freely love each other.

In this episode, Susan is candid about her experiences and shares these golden nuggets with you:

  • How to communicate (the healthy way) with your spouse, child and any important person in your life
  • Why you should know your hot buttons (before an argument happens)
  • How to create an agreement with your spouse that will strengthen your relationships
  • It’s ok to “table an issue” that may be too hot to talk about
  • A clever, couples-based approach to journaling and how it helps you discuss and work through touchy, emotional issues
  • Her definition of fig leaves and how we unknowingly bring them into your new relationships
  • How Susan manages being the “heart and the hammer” while her husband is deployed

Susan’s Book, No Fig Leaves Allowed: Getting Emotionally Naked, is available on Amazon.com and via a link on her Facebook page, No Fig Leaves Allowed

Upcoming Projects:

Susan is writing two books that strengthen communication and fortify marriages. She has created Maritime Marriage Adventure, a 4-hour sailing seminar for married couples. You can get more information about Susan’s projects on her website.
