About Erica

standing by railMy name is Erica Gordon, and I’m so happy that you found me here!

I believe that everything happens for a reason, which is why I’m so happy to connect with you.

For years I felt like I was drifting, even though it appeared that I had it all together. From the outside looking in I had everything, but on the inside I felt like I had barely scratched the surface of my potential.

You see, I am a classic overachiever.

I set very high standards for myself and was never ok with being status quo. I was an honor student and excelled in school. My family, teachers, friends, and just about anyone who knew me believed that I was destined for success.

I believed that, too. I was on track to receive scholarships for my undergraduate studies. After that I planned to graduate from law school (at the top of my class, of course).

But everything changed when I became a mom at the tender age of 17.

I had to rethink my life and come up with a plan so I could graduate college and be successful.

It wasn’t easy being a young, single mom, but I was determined to be more than a statistic.

I worked a 9 to 5 job during the day and took college classes at night. I shuffled my son between day care, babysitters, and relatives so I could work and stay in school.

While in college, I fell in love with a man who understood me, loved me and my son, and didn’t want me to struggle on my own anymore.

We got married and had three beautiful children together. We were living the good ol’ American dream, complete with our nice home in the suburbs, two cars, and our little cockapoo.

Even though I absolutely adored my life as a mother and a wife, I felt like something was missing. I couldn’t put my finger on it, but I knew that I still hadn’t scratched the surface of my potential.

There were many days when I thought to myself that there had to be more, that I was born to do more.

But I didn’t have a clue as to what that was or how I could start anything new with all that I already had on my plate as a young mother and wife.

Don’t get me wrong. My life was great, but I wanted to do something for me – something that made me feel alive and excited, something more meaningful. I also had plenty of days when I felt guilty for wanting more.

After my marriage dissolved, I went through a very painful divorce.

I found myself back at square one – having to rethink my life and come up with a new plan to put it back together.

But this time was different.

As a divorced woman with four children I was determined to reconnect with Erica, to finally take the time to figure out who she is, what she wants, and how to get it.

That was when I had an epiphany.

I realized that everything I had gone through was a lesson and that God had given me a second chance at life!

After the pain of my divorce and hitting rock bottom passed, I found the willpower and courage to put my life back together again.

Through it all I gained a new perspective. I wasn’t taking anything for granted, and I was determined to play full out!

Up until that point in my life, I had been afraid to stand up for my dreams and speak up about what I wanted. I felt like my happiness should come from being a great mom and wife, and that what I wanted for myself wasn’t important.

Now I know better.

I took the time I needed to get to know Erica. I worked hard to discover my gifts and purpose. I put in the necessary work so I could start living out my dreams. I decided that it was time to go back to school and get my Masters degree (a dream that I had set aside).

While attending grad school, I discovered the coaching industry and fell in love with the concept of helping women overcome struggles and reclaim their dreams.

That’s exactly how I got here!

My mission to help women be successful entrepreneurs was born out of my personal pain and life challenges.

I went through a rough storm so I could be a guiding light for you – to help you discover your gifts, your purpose, reconnect with your dreams, and show you how to start your dream business that you put off because you didn’t think you could do it while working your nine to five job and taking care of your family.

I shared this with you so you know that I understand where you are. I’ve been there myself.

sitting back on bench2editedimageI understand the challenges working women face while juggling motherhood, married (and divorced) life, and still wanting to pursue their dreams without sacrificing what’s most important.

I know how it feels to want more out of life even when you appear to have it all.

I know how it feels to share your dreams with people who think you’re crazy and don’t understand why you “just can’t be happy with what you already have”.

I know how it feels to juggle multiple things for so long that being tired, frustrated, and overwhelmed is your norm.

I also know there’s more for you, and that you have the ability to change your life.

If you’ve been trying to do it all by yourself, but it’s not working out the way you want it to, it could be time to do something different.

If I’m speaking to you right now, and you’re ready to make the change that you deserve, then I invite you to have a talk with me.

There’s no reason why you have to do this alone.

Maybe you’ve tried programs or took courses that promised results that you didn’t see.

Or maybe you’ve lost your spark and want to be excited about your dreams again.

If that’s you, then I would love to help you design your next steps.

You deserve to live a happy, abundant life!

I’m serious about helping you create the life you deserve!
